Akakios: Α restaurant which strongly reminds us of a monastery!

The reputation of this neighborhood had already reached areas outside Faliro, when in 2015 another innovative idea put it back to the gastronomic map!
This time a restaurant which strongly reminds us of a monastery made the difference.
Inspired by Mount Athos, Akakios stands out for its decoration with heavy wooden tables, orthodox candle-holders, chandeliers and candles, while the staff is dressed in a monk's attire!
As for its menu, keeping the traditions of Greek homemade food, like our mothers used to make it, it consists of handmade pasta and delicious spaghetti dishes, while there are Greek-style pies made along the Smyrna tradition and handmade pizza with crunchy dough!
From the top choices, pasta with meatballs, while even the most demanding palates will go crazy with the pecorinada, pasta which is mixed inside a whole pecorino cheese with freshly ground pepper!
