Launched 5 years ago this elegant space –this year we find it renovated– has become a favorite spot of Glyfada and every moment of the day feels special here. Early in the morning we enjoy our coffee along with tasty breakfast and brunch options (until 17:00). As the day passes by, a menu of Italian gastronomy well curated by the renowned chef Michalis Ntounetas becomes the center of attention, while a special place is reserved for the sweet creations of the talented pastry chef Konstantinos Cholevas. At the same time, the lovers of Japanese cuisine find a seat at the Asian Room to enjoy exceptional dishes – must taste the sushi rolls and the main dishes such as the black cod. YI It made its first appearance in the culinary scene of Glyfada two years ago and it has already managed to stand out due to its exclusively vegan raw cuisine. Yi Restaurant introduces us to its easy-going philosophy from the first instance upon entering its elegant space which gives out a cool aura and when tasting its dishes which reserve exceptional surprises even for those who have never tasted similar suggestions. The ovens, the pots and the frying pans have no place here, while its recipes have “exiled” animal products, gluten and lactose. All recipes find their basis on fresh fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts and superfoods, which are transformed into the most nutritional ingredients. The day starts with refreshing smoothies and detox juices made of fruits and vegetables –many of which arrive directly from the garden on the backside of the premises– coffees and hot drinks from aromatic herbs as well as breakfasts that will fill you with energy. The day continues with a well curated menu with vegan raw options. To Elliniko is a new age tavern in Glyfada, which began its successful course in Thessaloniki (we find it at the city center, close to the White Tower) and came to Athens to introduce us to its tasty flavors and concept. Due to its philosophy, its friendly atmosphere and, of course, its menu it soon became a hangout. Clearly oriented towards a variety of recipes originating from various parts of Greece, prepared with love and care from fresh local ingredients, Elliniko serves high quality, delicious Greek handmade meze and excellent, well cooked dishes. At its neat space, reminiscent of an old grocery with lots of items at its shelves which could be found in previous decades, and with a warm atmosphere, it is amongst the top choices for traditional Greek cuisine, good company and fine tsipouro, ouzo or wine, in large variety, while we also enjoy its beautiful exterior space perfect for sunny days! A delightful casual world with urban atmosphere, impresses from the first sight… Libraries, globes, large windows, shelves with retro items next to scales and blackboards. Since 2010 when the first store appeared in Gazi followed by one in Piraeus and one in Glyfada, Gazi College offers memorable moments to its guests throughout the day. Which way? The team behind this all-day eatery achieved something unique: to gather all flavors, images and music able to take you on a global journey! The love for detail and the knowhow of the field made Gazi College stand out in the all-day entertainment industry of the town. Executive chefs Michalis Faneromenos and Giorgos Printezis looked for the best recipes from each part of the planet and prepared fine dishes. The award-wining pastry chef Dimitris Makryniotis added a new dimension to desserts, while Dionysis Polatos successfully completed this experience with a rather inspired cocktail list. What is truly impressive though, is not the concept by itself but the execution of it, as everything here is handmade and prepared upon order from the burger bread (kneaded à la minute) to the aromatic dressings and the sausages slices in the big red machine!
