At a time when the traditional homemade pies have almost gone extinct as a delicacy in Athens, fortunately, the Pie Works in Kolonaki came to the rescue! A few steps away from Syntagma metro station, tradition found its most modern representative amongst two best friends, Niki and Elpida, who understand baking as only very few can. At their open view workshop they perform a daily recital of creativity working the traditional “filo”, pie crust, which gets filled with all sorts of stuffings, exclusively by Greek products from small producers and seasonal vegetables. A small range of unique soups and salads, perfectly accompanied by a glass of wine, are also a strong asset of the designy Pie Works.
