It is less than a year since Evmolpidon street in Gazi has been filled with aromas of apple and mint… Due to the opening of the Hookaholic Anatolian Lounge, a new age hookah bar which is housed in a two-storey neoclassic corner building. Despite its oriental elements such as the authentic decorative items from Egypt, Istanbul and Morocco, it escapes from the ordinary. Here you will find a youthful minimal space with cozy corners, which pleasantly predispose you to chill out and smoke your hookah. The amateurs can become initiated in the secrets of the kind choosing from a variety of 13 different flavors (from apple and lemon to mint and grape), while for the aficionados there is an established know-how for specialized options since the owner is Arab. Arty and bright, Omikron 2, housed in a space of characteristic modern aesthetic, next to the entrance of Kerameikos metro station, has changed the standards in this popular piazza. Each of its three floors can become completely autonomous while its semi-floor is also available for private functions such as parties and events. It has vivid colors and decorations with wooden sculptures, culminating to a 3D sculpture hanging on the wall, all inspired by artist Chronis Tsakirakakis. It welcomes us from early in the morning for quality coffee and snacks until late in the evening for drinks from its updated cellar or for in house cocktails from its difficult to choose from creative signature cocktail list. Further, it also serves a fine menu with intriguing options of mostly Mediterranean cuisine from appetizers and pasta to the indeed exceptional burger! All these, in a very pleasant environment with playful music, funky, swing, soul and jazz, while at its rooftop, the DJs options are more mainstream and hip. Daily from 11:00-as let as its gets.
