Abakos Steak House
66 Filonos Str., Peiraeus, T. 210 4525251

The new food story of the town, carrying a name which says it all (it means “eating excessively”)…instantly intrigued the lovers of steak houses at the hottest piazza of the port, offering a dining option which was admittedly missing from the city of Piraeus. Although only counting a few months of presence since September when it first appeared in Trouba, nonetheless, it has already managed to attract the aficionados of the kind from every corner of Athens. This success did not come by chance, but it is based on a well-prepared menu focused exclusively on premium meat with various cuts, drenched in divine marinades and expertly cooked either in a special oven using charcoal or in a smoker for palates seeking stronger delights! With best sellers being the rib-eye steak and the picanha of Uruguay, we have no alternative but to make a stop and “stuff ourselves”! Daily 13:00-01:00.

The only restaurant which, 14 years ago, dared to break free from the established perception that tables next to the sea should only serve seafood, Vosporos Grill Restaurant makes its own history as a pure meat grill house. The owners Giorgos Rogdionakis and Petros Georgopoulos were the first to give elegant dimension to meat. In a classy space of high aesthetics on the street and next to the coast, set against apost card view of fishing boats and sailing boats in Mikrolimano, seated at its friendly sitting corners, we enjoy the prolific appetizers, meze and meat dishes which are cooked with the proper grilling methods, the best ingredients and the principles of tradition originating from Istanbul. It’s hard to describe the delicious hunkar begendi (beef with eggplant puree and fried pies), the authentic shish kebab or its best seller, the lahmacun, which are well accompanied by a large variety of Greek wines and cold beers. This culinary experience culminates in the homemade desserts, in particular the delicious kunefe as well as the best seller bougatsa with kaimaki cream! Lamarina
1 Zea Marina, Piraeus, Τ. 211 0124117

Finally! Here is a new age meat-loving restaurant, which broke the status quo that wanted only fish taverns and sea food resto to be entitled to set tables by the sea … Lamarina with the motto «soyvlaki+more», which we can also see on the entrance sign, dared in 2014 to serve irresistible meat dishes at Zea marina with a name that makes a pun with lamarina (the metal flat pan for meat) and marina (where yachts tie up). The modern, industrial-style space with black ‘n’ white accents and frying pans hanging on the walls immediately gives us an appetite with skewers and meat varieties (for 2 or 4 people), arriving impressively on metal pans covered with the old-fashioned baking paper! The menu offers us plenty of other equally delicious options: wraps with gyro, juicy meat skewers, fries cut by hand, as well as fresh salads and gourmet appetizers for those who wish something lighter. There is also delivery service. Daily 12:00-01:00.
