Arch: The most famous beer house in the country!
The most famous beer house in the country and one of the most favourite hangouts has successfully completed 25 years of presence and continues with the same dynamics. On the occasion of the anniversary celebration of Arch beer house, we gathered all the reasons that keep it to the top!
The beginning
25 years ago, Marietta Hatzi and Sakis Lianeas found the right place to house the concept of Arch, made all the necessary changes and realized their innovative idea and their vision, taking thus the first step of the long journey that would follow.
The Name
Maritas' great weakness for ... darts inspired them to name the place "Arch", which means the course of the arrow. Somehow this is how things worked out with the beer house ... They shot their "arrow", it flew and found its target, right in the center! Since then, the name has become synonymous in town with beer and rock.
The course
With a straightforward idea, a clear philosophy, love, consistency and great effort, Arch continued steadily its course and became the most authentic and famous beer house, not only in Athens but in the country. Success came to stay and proved that when a place has identity and consistency it can only succeed!
The Philosophy
An authentic beer-house with rock philosophy that has not deviated all these years from the original idea! That is why it became a hangout with fanatical patrons of all ages from all over the city!
The Follow-up
The 2nd generation has dynamically entered, with Ioanna Karystinou and her fresh ideas to evolving the concept of Arch. Combined with the experience and know-how of the owners, Ioanna continues with the same love to give her own potential to the beer house.
The space
A three-storey, imposing stone building just a few meters from the center of Peristeri houses Arch and has been suitably adapted for its concept. The beer house has a capacity of 500 people, wood is a dominant element, as well as rock decoration and atmosphere, the environment, despite the large space, is very friendly and warm, each floor has its own bar, it has gardens but is not open and is fully air-conditioned.
The Beers
There are 180 labels and 24 drafts! Guest barrels are often housed and they change each time, from micro-breweries and aged beers to those with whiskey or rum. Beers from all over the world, from America and Europe, all the monastic ones and always fresh. Indeed Arch is the ambassador of La Tram in Greece. Combined with the enormous specialty in beer, there is also a very up-to-date and special cellar with premium labels in whiskey, rum, cognac and vodka which stand out. Also, the list of beers (as well as the one of food) found on each bar and table is exceptionally informative.
The team
Of course, a good team always contributes to success. The team of Arch has been stable for years now and specialised with excellent knowledge of beer, trained with seminars and at the same time friendly, polite and helpful!
The Music
An authentic beerhouse also gives great emphasis to music. In Arch you will only hear rock music from the 5 different djs with each one having his own special style. The sound is great and it is also combined with images as the video clips of the songs are playing at the same time.
The kitchen
The well-thought menu card has a basis the beer with cold and warm dishes emphasizing on deliciousness and good ingredients. You will taste from fine varieties of cheese and cold cuts and sausage platter, up to grill suggestions with the pork knuckle and the schnitzel being the star dishes!
The events
Innovative in every aspect, Arch is certainly distinguished for its events. They are a separate chapter and an integral part of its philosophy. It was the first in Greece that started the Halloween! In addition to the theme nights, it stands out for the anniversary events such as October Fest and St Patrick, and each year they also make their own anniversary event with various great happenings!
The success
All of these led unerringly to success ... which in this case does not cause complacency but instead compels the people of Arch to consistency, continuous effort and evolution.
